Akelius Real Estate Management Reviews

46

I’ve been working as a Real Estate Manager in the Akelius area of Houston, Texas, for a couple of years. It’s an amiable, professional, and helpful staff who is always willing to help. Many training opportunities and a great company culture make me look forward to coming to work every day.

The staff is friendly and responsive.

Most people would be hard-pressed to name a company that has not been in the real estate game for more than a few decades. Akelius is the largest privately owned real estate company in Sweden. Its portfolio comprises over 54,000 properties in six countries spanning Europe and North America. The company specializes in residential real estate. Founded in 1994, Akelius is headquartered in Danderyd, Sweden. Previously known as Investa, Akelius was acquired in 2021 by Heimstaden, a European residential real estate giant.

It’s easy to see why the company is so successful. Aside from the usual suspects (read: greedy landlords), the company is chock full of savvy professionals with a penchant for green practices. In addition, some buildings are rent stabilized, meaning that the cost of rent isn’t exactly pocket change. Nonetheless, the company isn’t without its share of annoyances. During my time there, I was harassed by a snarky landlord. As for Akelius’s management, the organization is generally friendly, but the quality of service is questionable.

Company culture

Company culture refers to an organization’s values, beliefs, behaviors, and practices. It is the key to attracting and retaining employees and supporting high performance. A good corporate culture can also help to steer business decisions.

Akelius Real Estate Management is a real estate company that provides various services, including appraising, selling, buying, and managing real estate. It has a portfolio of over 18,000 apartments and buildings in several countries, including Sweden, France, the United States, and Cyprus.

Some tenants have complained of broken appliances, construction noises, and non-residents wandering into their apartments. Others have been harassed by Akelius and forced to leave.

Akelius has been accused of neglecting lower-income residents. In addition, it has been accused of stalling repairs, suing tenants for two months of rent if they do not pass the burden onto another person, and significantly increasing rents.

Working conditions

The working conditions at Akelius Real Estate Management are pretty good. This is not to say that they are perfect, though. Some tenants have complained about construction noises at a couple of their properties. There are also complaints about non-residents wandering into apartments.

Akelius Real Estate Management Llc has been in the H1B visa program since 2020. During that time, they have been able to employ three people. They are currently looking for an assistant property manager, a role that will likely require a lot of customer service. Hopefully, this person will be able to help maintain positive relationships with the community’s residents.

Among other things, Akelius offers employees an impressive selection of benefits. These include a health care plan, a retirement plan, and a pension scheme. In addition, the company has a charitable foundation. Its philanthropic activities include funding the creation of SOS Children’s Villages.

Compensation

If you are looking for a job in the real estate management industry, Akelius is a great place to find one. The company operates in various locations, from the Bahamas to the United States. They are not only an excellent place to work, but they also offer a wide range of benefits.

The average salary for an Akelius Real Estate Management employee can vary depending on the individual’s experience and skill set. The amount of compensation can range from a low five-figure to a high six-figure, depending on the specific job.

As part of their compensation package, Akelius employees receive excellent benefits such as a pension scheme and health care. These benefits include a very low sick leave of two percent.

Training opportunities

Whether you are considering a career in real estate or not, you should be aware that there is a whole lot more to the industry than reams of paperwork and cubicles. To this end, here are three things to know and learn. Firstly, there is more to a well-rounded life than simply paying the bills. Second, you will need to learn how to interact with your co-workers if you want to be taken seriously. Finally, ensuring your home is a haven when you are not on the clock is essential. Consider keeping a spare key ready for emergencies if you have a family. A third trick is to avoid sleeping in your car at night. I’ve been there, and it’s not a fun experience.
