If you’re looking for a good movie, then “Scarface,” Brian De Palma’s drug epic starring Al Pacino, is a good choice. The film is full of memorable scenes and wild times. Another good choice is “Steve Jobs,” the biopic about Apple founder Steve Jobs. Although the movie was a box office flop when it hit theatres, it is worth a watch.

I don’t feel at home in this world anymore.

“I Don’t Feel At Home in This World Anymore” is a dark comedy that has won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. It’s set in a nursing home, where the titular Ruth is constantly cut off by bar patrons and grocery shoppers while questioning her place in the world, despite her love for the job.

The story revolves around the protagonist Ruth, a former pawnshop worker who finds that she can turn her old pawnshop finds into cash. But her intentions are much more ambitious than making money; she also wants to regain her lost pride. That’s why she enlists the help of her weird neighbour Tony (Elijah Wood), whom she is attracted to for his shamelessness.

Hustle

“Hustle” is a funny movie that isn’t necessarily well-written but entertaining nonetheless. Its director, Jeremiah Zagar, enjoys the challenge of shooting sports, and his filmmaking style gives the outdoors an appealing sense of place. The movie centres on Stanley and his siblings, Alex and Teresa, and their efforts to succeed in a harsh industry. They rely on their connections, untapped skills, and generational knowledge to get their goals. There’s plenty of feel-good sentimentality in “Hustle,” but plenty of tension and threats of failure.

“Hustle” is set in 2022. It follows the lives of basketball players and scouts. Adam Sandler stars as an NBA scout, and the film also stars Ben Foster, Robert Duvall, Heidi Gardner, and Anthony Edwards. It was released on Netflix on June 8, 2022, and has received a generally positive response from critics.

Okja

Okja is one of the most well-received movies on Netflix, and for a good reason. While the film had a botched first press screening, it is very hard not to like it. The movie’s unusual intro fits the style of Bong, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Ronson.

Okja is a satire of the pork-manufacturing industry and uses famous images from the real world to illustrate its points. For example, the Miranda Corporation’s slaughterhouse resembles the Auschwitz concentration camp in the movie. In a satirical twist, the film makes fun of both the food industry and capitalism.

Okja has been the most successful movie on Netflix so far. It is a top contender for several awards, including visual effects and production design. It may even win the Oscar for best foreign language film this year.

The Power of the Dog

The Power of the Dog on Netflix is a powerful psychological drama based on the 1967 novel by Thomas Savage. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, and Kodi Smit-McPhee. The film has received critical acclaim and praise for its unique storytelling and fascinating characters.

Set in 1925, “The Power of the Dog” is an intense psychodrama that follows two brothers who become entwined by fate. One is a hardened rancher named Phil Burbank (Cumberbatch), while the other is a gentle, sensitive man named Rose. They have a strained relationship, which is often painful. Their marriage brings out the worst in both of them. In this reimagined western, uncontrollable urges take on a new meaning.

The film premiered at the 78th Venice International Film Festival, winning a Silver Lion for Best Direction. It then had a limited theatrical release before coming to Netflix on December 1, 2021. The film has a stellar cast, including Benedict Cumberbatch, Jesse Plemons, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Thomasin McKenzie, and Keith Carradine.

“If Beale Street Could Talk”

If Beale Street Could Talk is based on the 1974 James Baldwin novel of the same name. It stars KiKi Layne, Colman Domingo, Teyonah Parris, and Michael Beach. It follows a young woman who tries to clear her lover’s name. You’ll find yourself glued to the screen as the plot unfolds.

If Beale Street Could Talk is an Oscar-nominated film directed by Barry Jenkins, the writer of Moonlight. It’s a touching drama with KiKi Layne and Stephan James. Unfortunately, the film is not available on Netflix but on Hulu and Cable on Demand. If you’re looking for a different genre, you can watch “The Highwaymen,” a crime drama based on a true story.
