Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5g Review

32

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5g is an attractive device that comes with a lot of features for a low price. It also has an excellent camera to take amazing pictures in different light conditions.

It runs on the latest MIUI based on Android 11, and it offers a good amount of features. However, it does have some bloatware and rough edges.

Display

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5g has a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The phone also features a plastic frame with Gorilla Glass front and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The screen has a hole-punch cutout on the left for the selfie camera, and it supports HDR10+ and Widevine L1 for streaming high-definition video. It also supports 4G LTE connectivity.

The display offers a high brightness uniformity, which is excellent for a budget smartphone. In addition, it has a very high contrast ratio and an average black level.

Camera

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5g features a tri-rear camera system. It has a 64MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP Tele macro module.

The cameras on the smartphone’s rear slightly differ from what we’ve seen on previous Xiaomi phones. They are positioned squarely on the back of the handset rather than curved, as you would expect.

The camera is rated to take 20MP selfie photos and 1080p videos at 60 fps. The camera can shoot in Low Light mode and capture a wide range of special effects.

Performance

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5g is an excellent smartphone with plenty of power in a small package. It also offers a sleek and lightweight design, making it perfect for those looking for a smartphone that is easy to hold and use.

The display on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5g is top-notch, offering great colors and contrast levels. You can tweak the screen to your preferences, including setting up an always-on mode, reading mode, and more.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5g is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor. This chipset is more than capable of running heavy games on high settings without compromising performance.

Battery Life

The Mi 11 Lite 5g smartphone stands out from the crowd thanks to its svelte 6.8mm profile. It also offers a lot of heavy-hitting techs – including a 90Hz AMOLED display, solid processing power, and a 4250mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

In our tests, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5g quickly takes us through the day. It took 1 hour 14 minutes to charge from empty to 100%, significantly better than the Oppo Find X3 Lite and Samsung A52 5G.

During our battery autonomy test, we repeatedly perform actions linked to different use cases, such as gaming, calling, and GPS navigation. The results are summed up in the DXOMARK Battery autonomy score, which comprises three performance sub-scores: Stationary, On the go, and Calibrated.

Overall

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5g is one of the best smartphones that you can buy for its price, with an excellent display and near-flagship level performance. It also comes with a great battery and decent Android software.

The screen on the Mi 11 Lite 5g is an AMOLED 2400×1080 panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. It’s bright and crisp, with no glare or color casts.

It is also suitable for gaming with high graphical settings cranked up. League of Legends: Wild Rift and PUBG Mobile ran smoothly at 60fps, though there were a few dips.

The camera on the back isn’t bad either, with a 64MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide. However, the lack of optical image stabilization (OIS) means that photos taken at low shutter speeds look slightly murky.
